Kellie Pickler on plastic surgery

Nearly two months after Kellie Pickler debuted a new look on the show that helped make her famous, the Albemarle native talks about plastic surgery.
"You're the one that has to look at yourself every day and it's important that you're happy with what you see," Pickler said. "You can't worry about what everyone else thinks because you cannot please everyone."
Pickler returned in early March for a performance on 'American Idol'. She not only sang her new single "I Wonder," she also looked completely different than her days when she was on the show. Pickler wore a low-cut blue dress and sported a shorter hairdo and curls.
Before her performance she chatted on stage live with host Ryan Seacrest.
"Have you spent your money on anything since you left us?" asked Seacrest.
"Shoes... imagine that," said Pickler, who is a self professed shoe addict.
"Just shoes?" Seacrest asked.
After the show, talk circulated about a possible breast enhancement.
In a March interview with Extra, judge Simon Cowell said, "It's like she'd gone to Dolly Parton school or something. I've never seen anything like it in my life."
While some fans loved the new look, others were quick to criticize.
"I don't take any of that personal when people criticize me about the way I look," Pickler said. "You know what? If you don't have anything better to talk about than my rack...can I say rack? ... It doesn't bother me a bit. As long as I'm happy with Kellie than that's most important."
While describing the perfect man, Pickler says he has to make her laugh, because looks will fade. She then jokes that she'll always look the same. "I will get everything sucked, tucked and cut off."
Pickler has gone through many different hairstyles while in the national spotlight. When she started on 'American Idol' Pickler had long, straight blonde hair. At her welcome home celebration in May 2006 in Albemarle, Kellie sported a short bob. When she returned to the stage in the summer for the 'American Idol' tour, Pickler's long hair was back.
"It's long one day and short the next," Pickler said during a May 10th interview at Bobcats Arena. "They're extensions and they just clip in and clip out."
At the start of the Brad Paisley tour in April 2007 her hair was back to short. Pickler dropped out of cosmetology school and uses what she learned when getting herself ready for the show.
"I don't like having an entourage," she said. "I like to be just a normal girl and I don't have to have someone always doing my hair and my make-up."
Bottles of Herbal Essance line her shower stall on the tour bus and on the bathroom counter sits a jar of Creme de la Mer, a moisturizer that retails for $100 for one ounce.
"That's my splurge," Pickler says pointing to the moisturizer. "That and shoes."
