Facial surgery for attacked girl
A teenage girl has undergone facial surgery after she was attacked with a bottle in a Dorset street.
The bottle was thrown at the 15-year-old at 2315 BST on Saturday at the junction of Charminster Road and Maxwell Road in Bournemouth.
The girl, who is from Bournemouth, was treated for serious injuries on her lip and eyebrow at Poole Hospital and may be left with permanent scars.
Detectives have asked witnesses to the attack to come forward.
Det Con Debbie Krainz, of Bournemouth CID, said: "This girl has received injuries that could leave her permanently scarred.
"There were a lot of youngsters in the area at the time of this assault and I'm keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the attack or the circumstances that lead to it.
"It's vital that anyone with information contacts Dorset Police, or Crimestoppers anonymously, so we can make sure that the person responsible doesn't go unpunished."
