Straumann launches new generation bone level dental implant
Straumann Holding said it has launched its new-generation bone level dental implant, which will be available in the fourth quarter in most parts of Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand, before a roll-out to the rest of the world next year.
The move complements the company's existing range of tissue level implants, said the Swiss-based company. Dental implants broadly fall into two categories - tissue level and bone level.
Research indicates that up to 60 pct of implants are placed at bone level, said Straumann.
